International Conference
On the morning of Wednesday the 3rd of April, BETTER FINANCE and AURSF will host a joint International Conference in Bucharest to discuss ‘A New Deal for Romanian and European Financial Services Users’ and celebrate the 10 Year Anniversary of BETTER FINANCE, the European Federation of Investors and Financial Services Users, created in 2009 in the aftermath of the 2008 financial crisis.
Under the aegis of the Romanian Presidency of the EU Council, the conference will address the need for a New Deal for Romanian and European Financial Services Users, focussing in particular on EU and national developments in the field of Pensions and Life Insurance as well as the progress, or lack thereof, on a Capital Markets Union (CMU), taking a closer look from a retail investor perspective at changes in terms of protection and enforcement of investor and financial services users’ rights.
Amongst our guests will be senior representatives of BETTER FINANCE Member Organisations, of the European Commission, the European Parliament, national supervisors and trade associations who represent the interest of their members in this field.
